These ceremonies are organised for people residing in New Zealand who want to become New Zealand citizens and who have completed the citizenship process.

Rates are invoiced by four quarterly installments each financial year. The financial year is from 1 July to 30 June each year.
The payment dates for each installment from 1 July are shown below. The 'Due Date' is the date when the installment becomes payable. The 'Penalty Date' is the day a 10% penalty is applied on any unpaid rates. when a due date falls on a weekend or a public holiday, the due date is the next working day.

Permanent chlorination provides safe drinking water for Hurunui
In July 2017, the decision was made by the council to begin chlorination of water supplies currently without chlorine. Chlorine provides a continual protectant that ensures any contaminants entering the district’s pipelines are removed and do not put our communities at risk.
