Local Government Elections
Local body elections are held throughout the country every three years.
The last local government election was held on Saturday, 9 October 2010 and the next one will be in October 2013.
Hurunui District council elects a Mayor and nine councillors. The Hanmer Springs Ward elects five members for a Community Board.
